Hi, I'm Karima
I'm a locum dental nurse based in the West Midlands and founder of Need a Nurse Dental Recruitment Agency.
I worked in hospitality all over the world but the covid pandemic made me realise that I wanted a more meaningful career where I could use my people skills to help others. During lockdown, I decided to apply for a trainee dental nurse role and the rest is history!
A year after qualifying, I decided to become a locum nurse for more hands-on experience and to broaden my skill set. I then took the leap to become my own boss and set up my own agency, Need A Nurse Dental Recruitment Agency, in 2023.
Locuming allows me to have the work-life balance I've always dreamed of! I'm half Egyptian and Need A Nurse Dental Recruitment Agency has given me the freedom to visit and spend time with my loved ones in a way that would not have been possible as an employed dental nurse.
Now my mission at Need A Nurse Dental Recruitment Agency is to empower other dental nurses to seek the work-life balance that they deserve!
I am also passionate about supporting dental practices to overcome their staffing shortages. I know first hand the high demand for dental nurses at present and I am proud to be able to partner with dental practices to ensure your patients' appointments and treatment goes ahead smoothly, as planned.
Outside of work I am a foodie who loves to travel, exercise and spend time in nature.

It’s finally here 🙌🏽 Need A Nurse uniform 🩵🦷 After months of deliberation, we decided to go for a black fitted tunic with blue piping, embroidery on the right chest and logo on the left sleeve, which can be paired with black trousers ✨ We know that dental nurses come in all shapes and sizes so we wanted our uniform to be inclusive and flattering for anybody to wear!
